Šťastný Nový Rok | Happy New Year

A Winter Ride

A couple weeks ago my buddy Pete and I rode out to a brewery on the edge of Prague. The brewery was closed thanks to weird holiday schedules but the ride was great - I love seeing new parts of Prague. We were still in the city limits but it was incredibly rural. Yes, those are horses.

Remembering Havel

On the 18th of December, legendary dissident Vaclav Havel passed away. It was a very solemn week as Havel was nothing short of a national hero. Vaclávské Náměstí (Wenceslas Square) was filled with people paying their respects and lighting candles. Today, nearly a month later, many of the candles remain.

Vánoční Trh | Christmas Market

This thing made it really difficult to ride to class. Humbug.

Vyšehrad

One of my favorite places to go in the city is a 10th century castle called Vyšehrad, located a bit south of the central part of Prague. Since it's a bit off the beaten path, it's generally not crowded with gawking tourists. It has fantastic views of the city, too.
